RUGGED EARTH PLATES - FERN

This tableware collection is inspired by our beautiful planet Earth and all its textures & rawness. For these pieces we focused on rich colours and glaze layering. 

Please note: our Rugged Earth finishes are layered finished consisting of several hand-brushed glazes that react in the kiln together to create the beautiful colours. Colours, glaze variations and darkness on the rims may vary from the photos shown which is part of the beauty of these glazes. The bases of the plates are unglazed and polished smooth after firing, creating a vitrified stone-like surface with a tactile feel.

Fern captures the ancient beauty and textures of the sub-tropical rainforest. With a glaze inspired by the complex layers of foliage, lichen entwined tree trunks and mossy undergrowth, Fern takes a voyage of discovery through the forest floor to the hidden depths of shimmering waterholes.
